Premiered and commissioned by the New Jersey Chamber Music Society at Upper Montclair and Morristown, New Jersey (April 1996). Also performed by members of the American Composers Orchestra (March 1997), the Bronx Arts Ensemble (1997), Quintet of the Americas (1998) and the USMA West Point Woodwind Quintet at the Storm King Festival, New York (July 2001) and at the West Point Jewish Chapel (March 2002).

La Guaracha del Macho Camacho, 1983  
 
Premiered by Raymond Torres-Santos and Robert Remstein at the Schoenberg Hall, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) as part of the New Music Series (April 1983). Subsequently, performed by Rubén Sueiras and Rubén Malán at the 2nd Latin American Arts Festival in San Juan, Puerto Rico (October 1984) and at the 1985 Ethnomusicology Society National Convention held at UCLA. A version for two grand pianos was performed by Larry McFatter and Raymond Torres-Santos at the California State University, San Bernardino, as part of the Faculty Artist Series (April 1987).

Subsequently, performed at the Latin American Composers Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico (August 1979) and by the Almont Ensemble at the California State University, San Bernardino as part of the Faculty Artist Series (May 1988).

Used in the soundtrack of the film, Tortuguero Lagoon.
