Areytos: A Symphonic Picture, 1985  
 
Premiered at the Latin-American Arts Symposium by the UCLA Symphony Orchestra in Los Angeles under the direction of Abraham Chávez (May 1986). Subsequently, performed by the Northwestern University Symphony at the American Society of University Composers' National Convention in Evanston, Illinois under the direction of Victor Yampolsky (February 1987) and by the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra at the Casals Festival in San Juan, Puerto Rico under the direction of Odón Alonso (June 1989). Recorded for National Radio and TV by the same orchestra.

Commissioned by the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the American Music Center in New York. Premiered under the direction of Odón Alonso at the Luis A. Ferre Performance Arts Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico (September 1990). Also performed by the Queens Symphony under the direction of Raymond Torres-Santos (October 1998) and by the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maximiano Valdés at the Luis A. Ferre Performance Arts Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico (2009). Recorded by the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra on a OSPR CD-1.

Commissioned by the Casals Festival in honor of the 200th Anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's death. From Variaciones Puertorriqueñas sobre un tema de Mozart (Five Puerto Rican Variations on a Theme by Mozart) with music by Héctor Campos-Parsi, Rafael Aponte-Ledée, Jack Delano and Ignacio Morales-Nieva. Premiered by the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra at the Luis A. Ferre Performance Arts Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico under the direction Odón Alonso (June 1991). Also performed by the De Pawl University Symphony under the direction Orcenith Smith (1994), the American Youth Symphony under the direction of Luis Haza (1995), the Symphony Orchestra of the Americas under the direction of Luis Biava (July 1996) and by the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Raymond Torres-Santos (May 1997). Also by the Soria Symphony (Spain) under the direction of Oscar Osa (November 2006) and the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Francisco Figueroa (November 2007).

Also performed by the Pacific Symphony under the direction of Lucas Richman (1990) and the Puerto Rico Symphony under the direction of Karl Sollak (1991).
